The city of Sequim is located in Clallam County, WA state ... the city has a population of aprox.
6,600 people.Sequim is located in the northeastern shadow of the Olympic
Mountains and thus tends to receive alot less rain and is drier than than most
of the other cities towards the western portion of the Olympic Peninsula.
Sequim and the surrounding area are known for the commercial cultivation of
Lavender - making Sequim the "Lavender Capital of North America" ... the

Festival is held annually on the third weekend in July.
The Sequim Bay features a 4-mile long protected inlet which is home to the
Sequim Bay
State Park ... this inlet is a popular for bird watching & enjoying
nature... the park also has a year round 92 acre marine campground.
